Henrietta M. Miller, 95, Twin Lakes

Funeral services for Henrietta M. Miller of Twin Lakes will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Concordia Bear Lake Lutheran Church. The Rev.

William Greaver will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 4-8 p.m. at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Bear Lake Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at the Thorne Crest South Retirement Center in Albert Lea. She was 95 years of age.

Henrietta was born Oct. 6, 1907, in Oscoda County, Mich., the daughter of Ben and Lottie (Benjegerdes) Stickfort. At the age of five she moved to northern Iowa where she attended county school and graduated from Manly High School in 1924. She also attended teachers training. She taught in the country school in Iowa for several years.

Henrietta was united in marriage to Ferdinand Miller on June 29, 1928, at the home of her parents in Iowa. In 1943 she moved to Freeborn county with her family where she has been a resident ever since.

Henrietta was a member of the Concordia Bear Lake Lutheran Church and was active in the church circle. She was very active in the Twin Lakes Senior Citizens for many years. In her free time she enjoyed gardening and flowers, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Henrietta is survived by her sons: Ervin and his wife Mary of Portland, Ore.,

Howard and his wife Dorothy of Twin Lakes, and Merton and his wife Eddie also of Twin Lakes. There are nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Lloyd Stickford; and sisters, Lucy Behnken, Leona Dobel, twins Violet Roe and Viola Thilen, and Helen Gallion.
