Close shave with history

Albert Lea High School 11th-grader Samantha Chicos pretends
to shave fifth-grader Tia Dupont as fifth-grader Missie Tripp
looks on Wednesday morning during the &uot;Discover History&uot;
program at the Freeborn County Museum and
Historical Village.
Students from the Albert Lea High School 11th grade humanities
class spent two weeks researching the museum library and
interviewing
area seniors to find out about the history of this region. The
students then broke into several teams to plan sessions to inform
other students on the history of many different topics. The high-school
students are now teaching what they learned to area fifth graders.
