Absentee voting

Freeborn County Deputy Auditor-Treasurer employee Karen Westrum,

right, goes through a ballot with Iris Tarvestad, of Albert Lea,

Friday morning at the Freeborn County Courthouse. Tarvestad needed

to resubmit her absentee ballot, an option given to absentee voters

because of the death of Sen. Paul Wellstone. The U.S. Senate race

has been blotted off the main ballot form and voters will vote

for the office on a separate ballot.
