Anton Delyn Cech, 47, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Anton Delyn Cech, age 47, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the First Presbyterian Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Dwight Netzer will officiate. Interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery at a later date. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
Anton Delyn Cech was born on Feb. 12, 1955, in Albert Lea, the son of Anton and Josephine (Belshan) Cech.
He passed away at the Good Samaritan Center after a long struggle with Huntington’s disease on Monday, Dec. 16, 2002.
Delyn attended Myrtle Elementary School and graduated from Glenville High School in 1973, where he was active in basketball, football and chorus. He graduated from Riverland Technical College in the carpentry class in 1975 at Austin. He was a carpenter and built his own home. He also worked at Farmstead. He married Adeline Williamson and to this union two sons were born. Delyn was active in 4-H and FFA. He enjoyed camping, traveling, woodworking in his shop, and watching sports.
Delyn is survived by his sons: Brandon and Barrett, and his fiancee, Katie Woodard, all of Albert Lea; mother, Josephine Cech of Glenville; sisters: Garnys Nelson of Glenville, and Valorae Dubey of Welch; nieces: Shannon (Elroy) Poplow and children, Tyler and Chelsea, and Tristan (David) Wirkus and children, Shayla and Hunter; nephew, Graden (Darla) Nelson and Colt; and aunts, uncles, and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anton Cech; brother, Dallas; brothers-in-law: Robert Nelson and Carl Dubey; and his grandparents.
