Steven R. Morgan, age 52, of Austin, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 13, 2002, at his home in Austin.
He was born March 6, 1950, in Austin, the son of Robert L. and Delores I. (Iverson) Morgan. He was a life-long resident of Austin and worked as a registered nurse in the Emergency Room at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
On July 24, 1971, he was united in marriage to Mary E. Musser at Mankato. He was a member of Crane Community Chapel, the Eagles, American Legion Post 91 and VFW Post 1216, all of Austin. Steven enjoyed hunting and fishing and being with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Morgan of Austin; one daughter, Terra Morgan, and one son, Jesse Morgan, both of Austin; two grandchildren: A. J. Johnson and Rhianna Morgan; one brother, Greg (Janice) Morgan of Danube; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; one sister, Nancy Mens; and a niece, Shari Mens.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Crane Community Chapel with the Rev. Randy Peterson officiating. Interment will follow the service in Grandview Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 91 and VFW Post 1216. Visitation will be held at the Worlein Funeral Home in Austin today, from 4-7 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
