Funeral services for Sara Yvonne &uot;Bonnie&uot; Morreim, age 75, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003 at the Church of St. Theodore. The Rev. Kurt Farrell will officiate.

Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 20, 2003 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.

There will be a scripture rosary service at 7:30 p.m.

Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Bonnie died on Friday, Jan. 17, 2003 at the Albert Lea Medical Center.

Sara Yvonne Morreim was born on May 8, 1927 in Newry Township, the daughter of Ernest and Sara (Cartin) Balbach Jr.

She grew up there and graduated from Ellendale High School.

As a young woman, Bonnie moved to Albert Lea.

On Feb. 4, 1947, Bonnie was united in marriage to Kenneth Morreim at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newry.

Bonnie was a member of the first graduating class from Manpower, which later became ALTEC and now is Riverland Community College.

She worked for Woolworth’s, Culligan, and retired as the fuel desk manager at Trail’s Truck Stop.

Bonnie had a deep and abiding faith in God and she loved to pray for those in need. She was an active member of the Church of St. Theodore where she served on the prayer team. She loved bowling and many outdoor activities.

Survivors include her husband Kenneth, of Albert Lea, daughters Lynda Baseman, of Albert Lea, Rebecca and her husband Dennis Boone, of Albert Lea, Theresa and her husband Loren Kaiser, of Albert Lea, and Norma and her husband Jay Corbin of Wells; son Michael Morreim of Virginia Beach, Va.; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Theresa Jackson of Albert Lea and Kathleen and her husband Roland Knox of Rochester; brothers Donald and his wife Kathy Balbach of New Ulm and Jerry and his wife Sharon Balbach of Spring Valley; brothers-in-law Kenneth and his wife Donna Peterson of Canton, and Merton Morreim of Albert Lea; sisters-in-law Norma Hensche of Alden and Darlene Morreim of Minnesota Lake; and many other wonderful relatives and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her son Kenneth Otto, her father and mother-in-law Otto and Nina Morreim, her sister Jeanette Peterson, her son-in-law Duaine Baseman, her great-grandchildren Ciarra Rose and Duaine Jacob (DJ) Baseman, brothers-in-law Jesse Jackson, Marvin Morreim and Arnold Hensche.
