Funeral services for Floriene V. Ladlie, age 85, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services on Saturday.

Floriene died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center.

Floriene Virginia Ladlie was born March 13, 1917, to John P. and Alice M. (Sickels) Gold in Taylor County, Iowa. She attended Barlow Country School and Albert Lea High School. On Nov. 26, 1934, Floriene was united in marriage to Earl Ladlie in Northwood, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Hollandale area for over 50 years. Floriene was a beautiful seamstress, enjoyed flowers and houseplants, and especially loved painting.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Hall and husband Eddie of Austin; grandsons: Gregory Hall and wife Barbara, and Bradley Hall; granddaughter, Rachel Hall; and nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.

Floriene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; and three brothers and three sisters.

Memorials are preferred to the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center.
