United Way to celebrate fund-raising campaign

Judi Dutcher, president of Minnesota Community Foundation, will be the guest speaker for the United Way of Freeborn County’s Victory Celebration. The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28 at the Budget Host Inn.

Dutcher joined Minnesota Foundation after completing her second term as state auditor for Minnesota. Prior to working for the state, she was an attorney for Lang, Pauly & Gregerson, Ltd., from 1988 – ’94, and assistant Minneapolis city attorney from 1987 – ’88.

Her professional accomplishments include being the first woman to hold the office of state auditor; also, being the highest vote getter in the 1998 election among those seeking statewide office.

She is active with the Minnesota Women’s Campaign Fund and the Minnesota Women’s Political Caucus.

Judi is a 1980 graduate of Jefferson High School, Bloomington and received a bachelor of arts degree in political science and English literature in 1984, and her juris doctorate in 1987, both from the University of Minnesota.
