Authorities siezed more than a pound of cocaine, a handgun and more than $5,000 during a drug raid at an apartment in the Channel View complex in Albert Lea Friday, said Assistant Police Chief Dwaine Winkels.

The South Central Drug Task Force, Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Albert Lea Police Department executed a search warrant at the apartment complex, at 204 E. Front St., at 10:23 p.m. Friday. One adult male was taken into custody, Winkels said.

It’s the second time in less than a year that authorities have found a pound or more of cocaine during a drug raid.
