Wyman Elwood Jensen, 69, Mabel, Minn.

Wyman Elwood Jensen died on June 13, 2003, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester. He was 69 years old.

Wyman was born on Sept. 9, 1933, in Hollandale to Gordon and Clara Jensen. He graduated from Ellendale High School in 1952. Wyman married Doreen Severtson on Feb. 4, 1955. Over the years Wyman worked for Honeywell, Wilson & Company and farmed. Wyman and Doreen lived in Ellendale until Wyman retired from farming in 1992. They spent the last 10 years living in Mabel, Minn., and spent their winters in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

Wyman was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Ellendale and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, fast-pitch softball, golf and old-time dancing. He was happiest when spending time with his family and his many friends.

Wyman is survived by his wife, Doreen of Mabel; a daughter, Terri Engel and her husband Steve of Ellendale; and three sons: Bruce Jensen and his wife Cindy of Owatonna, Craig Jensen of Ellendale, and Gordon Jensen and his wife Pam of Chanhassen, Minn. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Clara White of Geneva; two brothers and a sister: Edwin Jensen of Ellendale, Dennis Jensen of Albert Lea, and Joanne Newhart of Onalaska, Wis.

Wyman was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Jensen; and a brother, Marshall Jensen.

The memorial service for Wyman Elwood Jensen will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at the First Lutheran Church of Ellendale. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
