Freeborn County will not have to pay attorney Jay T. Squires to handle the Minnesota Civil Liberties Union lawsuit against the county.

Some have criticized the county for pursuing the lawsuit, due to the expense of legal fees.

The county’s insurance company, Minnesota County Insurance Trust will cover the expense.
