Alfred Jarvis “Doc” Knutson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003.

He was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Zumbrota, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Olivia Knutson.

He is survived by loving wife, Elaine J. Knutson; brother, Robert Knutson of Rio Verde, Ariz.; sons: Jim Knutson of McHenry, Ill., and Mark Knutson (Terri) of Eden Prairie, Minn.; daughter, Jane Knutson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and grandchildren: Ken Knutson and John Knutson.

He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota dental school in 1948, and practiced dentistry in Albert Lea for over 35 years. During the past 16 years he enjoyed his position as the starter at Bent Creek Golf Club in Eden Prairie.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour before at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Road (one block north of Hwy 5), Eden Prairie.
