Genevieve E. Greibrok, 79, Lyle

Funeral services for Genevieve Greibrok, age 79, of Lyle, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Faith Lutheran Church in London. The Rev. Reuben Unseth will officiate. Interment will be in the Hayward Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., today, Sept. 16, at Bayview /Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Genevieve died on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, as a result of an automobile accident near Osage, Iowa.
Genevieve Eleanor Greibrok was born on June 13, 1924, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Aanon and Effie (Nelson) Greibrok. She came to Minnesota as a young girl, living first in Albert Lea, and then on a farm near Glenville with her family. Genevieve was a graduate of Lea College, the Lutheran Bible Institute, and Bethesda Nursing School in Minneapolis. She worked as a nurse at St. Barnabas hospital and at Augustana Home in Minneapolis. Genevieve also did missionary work with the Navaho Indians in Arizona.
Gen was a very active member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was a creative person who enjoyed drawing and building. She helped design the addition to the church a few years ago. Gen was a dedicated student of the bible and enjoyed serving the Lord.
Survivors include her brother, Carlyle and his wife Dorothy Greibrok of Austin; her sister, Ethel and her husband Gaylerd Jensen of Glenville; nieces and nephews: David, Becky, Dwight, Dean, John, Allan, Matthew, Carol and Steven; and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Gen was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Olive; her brother, Maurice; and aunts and uncles.
