Dale B. Jackson, 72, Honolulu, Hawaii

Dale B. Jackson, age 72, a 1949 Albert Lea High School graduate, passed away at his home in Honolulu Hawaii on Oct. 5, 2003. He was in good health prior to the heart attack that ended his life.

Following high school, Mr. Jackson attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. During his college years he was a member of the Delta Sigma Pie fraternity, the Air Force ROTC, and graduated in 1953 with a BA degree in business administration.

He served in the U. S. Air Force for 20 years, a career that included tours of duty in the Philippines, Turkey, and Spain, with the Air Force Auditor General Service, with the rank of Lt. Col. at retirement. Upon leaving military service, Dale and his beloved wife, Hilda, lived for several years in Monterey California, and later moved from Monterey to Hawaii where they have lived for the past 18 years. They traveled often which included visits to family in Rochester and Owatonna.

Dale is survived by Hilda, his loving wife of 39 years; stepdaughter, Vicki (Steve) Justus of Fairfax, Va.; his sons: Scott (Marsha) Jackson of Stillwater Okla., and Mark (Caroline) Jackson of Denver, Colo.; also his sisters: Lois (Clifford) Yule of Owatonna, and Grace (Glenn) Patterson of Kasson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Lisa (Sid) Brooks of Carmel Calif.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; niece, Susan (Steve) Richardt; great-niece, Jennifer Richardt of Rochester; nephew, Randal Williams of Minneapolis; and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ben Jackson, and brother, Donald Jackson.

A memorial service is Oct.15 in Hawaii.
