Edna Kocanda, age 64, of Northfield, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003 at the Emergency Room of the Northfield Hospital.

Edna was born Feb. 26, 1939, in Albert Lea, where she was raised the daughter of Louis and Evelyn (Hellie) Stadheim.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Northfield. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bierman Funeral Home in Northfield.

Edna Kocanda is survived by husband, Anthony; daughters: Andrea (Scott) Wannarka of West Linn, Ore., and Ann (Patrick) Flaherty of Northfield, Ohio; son, Anthony (Laurie) Kocanda of Minneapolis; sister, Annabelle Allen of Menefee, Calif.; brothers: Arnold (Evelyn) Stadheim of Albert Lea, David (Marilyn) Stadheim of Albert Lea, John (Janice) Stadheim of Lake City, Edward (Blanche) Stadheim of Lyle, Stanley (Babe) Stadheim of Albert Lea, and Louis (Alberta) Stadheim of Austin; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Angela Kocanda; and brother, Richard Stadheim.

Memorials preferred to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
