Irene M. Wobschall, age 93, of St. Peter, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Grandview Good Samaritan Center in St. Peter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter, with the Rev. Phil Schotzko officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna. Visitation will be from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel is assisting with the arrangements.

Irene was born May 8, 1910, in Clinton Falls Township to Edward and Amelia (Springer) McGrath. She graduated from Owatonna High School and attended one year of business school. Irene married Clarence Wobschall In May of 1929 in St. Paul. He preceded her in death in October of 1988. She worked for Herman Woyke In Waseca as a bookkeeper, and later as a probate clerk for Nicollet County, and for the McGovern Insurance Agency in Rochester. She also counted collections at St. Johns Catholic Church. Irene was a past president of the VFW Auxiliary in St. Peter. She enjoyed going to church and playing bridge.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Cleone Caron of Brainerd; son, Richard of Albert Lea; daughter and son-in-law: Darlene and Paul Eul of Hawthorne, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law, Gilbert Caron; brothers: Harry, Tom and Ed McGrath; and sisters: Bernice Stewart and Elenor Fitzgerald.
