Ann Josephine Loomis, 66, Clarks Grove

Funeral services for Ann Josephine (Lacke) Loomis, of Clarks Grove, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3,

at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Thomas Loomis and the Rev. Richard Loomis will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday at St. Theodore Catholic Church from 4-8 p.m., with a scripture prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be in St. Aidens Cemetery, Bath Township.

Mrs. Loomis died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. She was 66 years of age.

Ann was born Jan. 31, 1937, in Shullsburg, Wis., the daughter of Clarence and Eileen (Gough) Lacke. She graduated from Shullsburg High School in 1955. She received her teaching degree from Platteville College in Platteville, Wis. Ann taught school in Racine, Wis., and Bloomington, Minn.

On Aug. 4, 1962, she was united in marriage to Leo A. Loomis in Shullsburg, Wis.

Ann was an active member of St. Theodore Catholic Church, 4-H, and her local community for many years.

Ann is survived by her husband, Leo of Clarks Grove; children: The Rev. Thomas Loomis of Rochester, Patrick and his wife Wendi Loomis of Ely, Minn., Laurie and her husband Al Bursiek of Grand Meadow, Jennifer and her husband Kevin Williams of Burnsville, Amy and her husband Andrew Altenburg of Truman, Minn., and Lisa and her husband Michael Mastey of Belgrade, Minn.; grandchildren: Claire and Erin Williams, Henry Loomis, Katherine and Thomas Mastey, and Blake Leo Altenburg; and step grandchildren: Bobbi (Tim) Anderson and Chad Bursiek. Also surviving are five brothers: Jim and his wife Barb Lacke, Norbert and his wife Mary Ann Lacke, Pat and his wife Sue Lacke, Bob and his wife Sue Lacke, and Bill and his wife Kathy Lacke; two sisters: Kate and her husband Bob Thompson, and Sally and her husband Jim Zisser; in-laws: the Rev. Richard Loomis, Larry Loomis, John and his wife Connie Loomis, Paul and his wife Carol Loomis, David and his wife Michaeline Loomis, Mary McCarte, and Jerry and his wife Carol Loomis; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Eileen Lacke; and her mother- and father-in-law: Joseph and Anna Eleanor Loomis.

The family wishes to thank the medical staff in Albert Lea and Rochester for the wonderful care and all the family and friends who have been so supportive.
