Jason Craig Schultz, age 16, of Wells, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at his home in rural Wells.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. The Rev. Henry Hendricks will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 19, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells from 4-8 p.m., and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Minnesota Lake Township, Faribault County.
Jason was born on Dec. 7, 1987, in Wells, the son of Craig and Janelle (Bruegger) Schultz. He was a sophomore at United South Central High School in Wells. Anyone who knew Jason knew of his passion for skating. He spent many hours skating and skateboarding in the family shop. He was an outstanding artist and often expressed himself through his drawings. Music also played an enormous role in his life. He was a member of St. Paul’s UCC Church in rural Minnesota Lake.
He is survived by his parents: Craig and Janelle Schultz of Wells; one sister, Amanda Schultz and special friend Martin Carlson of North Mankato; paternal grandparents: Clem and Janet Schultz of Wells; maternal grandmother, Geneva Bruegger of Minnesota Lake; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Melvin C. Bruegger, and his great-grandparents.
Arrangements are by the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home of Wells, Minnesota Lake and Bricelyn.
