Gerald “Jerry” A. Clark of Good Samaritan Center, Albert Lea, died at Good Samaritan Center on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004. He was 68.
He was born on Jan. 16, 1936, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Ervin and Vera (Gustin) Clark.
He attended Albert Lea Schools. He served our country in the U.S. Armed Forces from April of 1953 until February of 1956.
Jerry lived in Minnesota most of his life, living in Albert Lea since 1978. He was a good mechanic. He loved playing guitar, singing, fishing, camping and dancing.
He married Audrey Nordahl Cook on July 14,1979, in Waseca.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Audrey of Albert Lea; his mother, Vera Clark of Mankato; two children: Thomas Tarnell and his wife Desiree of Minneapolis, and Trina and her husband Doug Cooper of Minneapolis; eight step children: Rick Karge and his wife Donna of Hollandale, Wayne Karge and his wife Sue of Anchorage, Alaska, Mike Karge of Owatonna, Lisa Karge of Arizona, Sheila and her husband Dave Greenwood of Colorado, Valerie Karge of Minneapolis, and Walter Cook of Wyoming; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brothers: Harold Clark and his wife Ginny of Mankato, Robert Clark and his wife Debby of Alexandria, Howard Clark and his wife Charlotte of Austin, Larry Clark and his wife Arlys of Dodge Center, Wayne Clark and his wife Von of Pine River, MN. Don Clark and his wife Carol of Mankato, and Timothy Clark and his wife Anita of Alexandria; sister, Evelyn and her husband Jerry Litchfield of Mankato; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger Nordahl and his wife Marlene of Albert Lea, Darlene Winter of Albert Lea, and Gloria Siewert and her husband Gerald of Lubbock, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Julie Hamilton; a son, Ricky Clark; and a stepson, Steve Karge.
Memorial services for Gerald with interment in Graceland Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
