The funeral service for Rozella

&uot;Rosie&uot; Pedersen of Alden, will be held

1 p.m Saturday, May 8, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden. The Rev. Peter Soli will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.

Rozella died on Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 86.

She was born on April 3, 1918, near Blue Earth, the daughter of Edward E. and Minnie (Bowser) Hunnicutt. Her family lived in Blue Earth, Alden and later Albert Lea.

On March 1, 1937, she was united in marriage to Nels &uot;Art&uot; Arthur Pedersen in Albert Lea. Together they lived and farmed near Alden. Rozella worked for a short time at Stampers in Wells, and then in 1963 she began working in housekeeping at St. John’s Lutheran Home. She retired in 1989 after working at St. John s for 25 years.

Art died in 1997, and Rozella continued to live on the farm until 1999

when she suffered a stroke.

Rozella was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where she

enjoyed being active in circle. She enjoyed sewing gardening, playing cards and birthday club. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by three children: Ray Pedersen and his wife Carol of Albert Lea, Arlene and her husband Ordean &uot;Bob&uot; Hagen of Oakland, Neb.., and Stan Pedersen and his wife Sheila of Sauk Rapids, Minn.; seven grandchildren: Brenda and her husband Mike McGivney of Medford, Minn., Robert Hagen of Lyons, Neb., Ranae and her husband Dave Brooks

of Oakland, Neb., Ritch Hagen and his wife Emma of Lowerwick, Worcester, England, Missey Pedersen and her husband Eric Falk of St. Cloud, Krista Pedersen of Duluth, and Gwen Pedersen and her husband Jeff Bemboom of St. Cloud; great-grandchildren: Alisha and Matthew Kuhlman of Oakland, Neb., Elizabeth, Heather and Thomas Hagen of Lowerwick, Worcester, England, Kayla McGivney of Medford, Nicholas, Elijah and Kyle Pedersen of St. Cloud, and David and Remington Brooks of Oakland, Neb.; brother, Vincent Hunnicutt and his wife Edna of Freeborn; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mildred Woodside, Dorothy Hunnicutt, Cleon Svenningsen, and Morris and Eleanor Pedersen of Albert Lea, and Ethel and Manly Bakken of Alden; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1997; granddaughter, Julie Pedersen, in 1991; great-grandson, Christopher Hagen, in 1991; and sisters and brothers: Edna, Velma, Wilma, Rena, Otis, Vern, Donald and Jim.
