David Michael Hall, 65,

Memorial service for David Michael Hall, of Albert Lea, will be 11 a m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Henriksen will officiate. Visitation with his family will be one hour before the service at the church.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society or Freeborn County Historical Society or Cross Roads Community Hospice.

David died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Center. He was 65 years old.

David was born Sept. 30, 1938, at Mason City, Iowa, to Michael Orval and Loraine Barbara (Kirk) Hall. He graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1956 and attended Luther College. David had been a resident of Lake Mills, Iowa and Albert Lea. He married Judy Freed on December 30,1967 in Scandia, Kansas. David was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He worked for Streater’s for over 35 years. David served two years in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He belonged to the American Legion, VFW, and served on the Board of Directors for the Freeborn County Historical Society. David was an avid fisherman, golfer and bowler, who also enjoyed goose hunting and metal detecting.

David is survived by his wife, Judy Hall of Albert Lea; two children: Michael Hall and his wife Cheryl of Lenexa, Kan., and Melanie Royer and her husband Chad of Victoria, Minn.; sister, Barbara Hall of Fairmont; brother, Dennis Hall and his wife Linda of Omaha, Neb.; and many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents: Michael and Loraine Hall.
