Mark Lenort, 80, Wells

Mark Jerome Lenort, age 80, of Wells, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Parkview Care Center in Wells.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells. The Rev. Eugene Stenzel will officiate. Visitation will be held at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 23, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells. Military honors will be by the Wells Color Guard
Mark was born on January 8, 1924, the son of Julius and Gertrude (Utzka) Lenort in Wells. He married Rose Yokiel on May 16, 1964, in Wells.
Mark served in the U.S. military during World War II and was a member of the Wells American Legion Post for the past 59 years.
He was also a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church.
He was employed by Wells Concrete Products for several years and worked for L&R Water-Craft in Wells for 24 years.
He also worked part-time for the Wells Mirror for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Lenort of Wells; two sons: Donald Lenort of Florissant, Mo., and Steve (wife Nancy) Ulrich of Wells; four grandchildren: Trent Ulrich, Tiffany Ulrich, Kevin Leintz and Brett Ulrich, all of Wells; three brothers:
Edward Lenort of Wells, Thomas Lenort of Clarks Grove, and Jim Lenort of Walters; two sisters: Bernadette Feist of
Madison, Minn., and Rose Jorgenson of Hopkins, Minn.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Katy Klocek and Margaret Staloch; and two brothers: George and Robert Lenort.
