The memorial service for Randy Lynn Egeness, of Albert Lea, will be held

2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour before service at the chapel.

Randy Egeness, of Albert Lea, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, surrounded by his loving children by his side.

Randy was born on Aug. 14, 1946 in Blue Earth, the son of Fern (Holland) Egeness and Arden Egeness. Randy lived most of his life in the Wells area and later moved to Albert Lea in 1973. He graduated from Wells-Easton High School. He served his country in the Army from 1966-1968 and

was awarded a Purple Heart.

Randy married Judy Johnson on

March 22, 1973. They had three children together: Bruce Egeness of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Diana Newman of Albert Lea, and Brian Egeness and wife Annie of Albert Lea. He worked for many years at Imperial Chemical Plant. Randy was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.

Randy enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, golfing and most of all spending time with family and friends.

Randy is survived by his mother, Fern Egeness of Wells; brother, Dennis and wife, Linda Egeness of Black River Falls, Wis.; children: Bruce, Diana and Brian; and four grandchildren: Tyler Egeness, Taylor and Trinity Newman, and Hailey Egeness. Also surviving are Judy Amundson of Albert Lea, and Virginia Egeness of Colorado Springs, Colo., and many nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his father and many aunts and uncles.
