Vi Klingbeil, 72, Albert Lea

The funeral for Vi Klingbeil will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16,

at Ascension Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Richard Spande will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour before the service at the church.

Vi died at her home on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004. She was 72 years old.

Vi was born in rural Minnesota Lake on April 3, 1932, the daughter of Gustav and Ida E. (Schwarz) Budach Jr. She was baptized in St. Paul Evangelical Church in rural Minnesota Lake, and confirmed in First Lutheran Church, Wells. She was a graduate of Wells High School.

On Aug. 28, 1950, Vi was united in marriage with Ray Klingbeil in St. Paul’s Evangelical Church in Wells. They farmed north of Wells until 1963 when they moved to Albert Lea. They are charter members of Ascension Lutheran Church.

Vi had worked for J.C. Penney Co and Wallace’s until becoming the proprietor of Vi’s Custom Drapery. She loved playing cards, watching game shows and traveling. Her greatest love was

spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Vi is survived by her husband, Ray of Albert Lea; five children: Sandy (Tim) Studier of Glenville, Micky (Mark) Henry of New Brighton, Minn., Laurie (Dave) Trebelhorn of Winthrop, Minn., David (Denise) Klingbeil of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Tom (Pam) Klingbeil of Cottage Grove, Minn.; 16 grandchildren: Justin (Lisa), Casey (Susie), Trevor (Patrice), Grady, Trent, Troy (Gabrielle) Studier, Joel (Denise) Henry, Tracy (Deanna) Henry, Amy (Justin) Liles, Katie Henry, Jennifer (Sam) Maki, James Willaert, Deitrich and Dwight Klingbeil, and Dale and Sarah Klingbeil; and nine great grandchildren: Gage, Logan, Griffin, Dylan, Mason, Gracie, Elizabeth, Devon and Karina. Vi is also survived by one brother, Robert (Jevonne) Budach of Glenville; sisters and brother-in-law; and nieces and nephews.

Vi was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Harold.

Vi will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Blessed be her memory.
