Graveside services for Marsha J. Behrends, age 66, of Albert Lea, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Graceland Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Halvorson will officiate.

Marsha died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Marsha Jean Behrends was born Feb. 12, 1938, to Walter and Gladys Briggs (Marlin) Christopherson in Hayward. She graduated from Albert Lea High School and was a lifelong resident of the Albert Lea. On May 6, 1956, Marsha was united in marriage to Russell Behrends. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed bingo, crafts, woodworking, watching races, and wrestling.

Survivors include her children: Russell and his wife Cheryl Behrends, Rosemary Behrends, Ricky and his wife Sara Behrends, Becky and her husband Rudy Adams, Robin and her husband Dean VonHagen, all of Albert Lea, and Randy and his wife Kimberly Behrends of Mason City, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; six step great-grandchildren; brother, Robert and his wife Barb Christopherson of Albert Lea; sisters: Joanne and her husband Del Oakeson of St. Paul, Donna and her husband Jack Burback, also of St. Paul, and Ruth and her husband Harry Rowe of White Bear Lake; and many nieces and nephews.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; and grandson, Joshua Baldwin.
