City and county offices will be closed on both Thursday and Friday for the observance of

the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Albert Lea Public Library will also be closed on Thursday and Friday, and will resume with regular hours on Saturday.

Albert Lea Postmaster Florence Welch announced that Thanksgiving Day will be observed as a postal holiday.

The post office lobby, service counter, and bulk mail acceptance facilities will be closed. There will be no mail delivery service, and mail will not be sorted to the post office boxes on Thursday.

Collection boxes around the city will not be picked up. Normal mail services will resume on Friday, Nov. 26.

In observance of Thanksgiving, Albert Lea Medical Center &045; part of Mayo Health System &045; announces the following facilities will be closed on Thursday: Albert Lea Clinic, Albert Lea Clinic and Vision Plus, Alden Clinic, Behavioral Health, HealthReach, Kiester Clinic, Lake Mills Clinic, New Richland Clinic, Wells Clinic and Wells Eye Clinic.

The Lake Mills Clinic will also be closed on Saturday, Nov. 27.

Albert Lea Medical Center’s Urgent Care will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

As always, emergency room services at the Albert Lea Medical Center are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Albert Lea Tribune will deliver a newspaper, however, its office will be closed Thanksgiving Day.
