Jennie Weseman, 84, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Jennie Weseman, formerly of Hollandale, a resident of the Good Samaritan Center, Albert Lea, will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Hollandale. The Rev. Jeffrey Kuddes will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Hollandale Cemetery.

Jennie died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Center.

She was born Aug. 23, 1920, in Perkins, Iowa. She was the eleventh child of John B. Terpstra and Nellie (DeBoer) Zoeterman. Jennie was a member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church of Hollandale. On Dec. 4, 1941, she married Lloyd Weseman. Lloyd passed away on Aug. 27, 1967. Jennie was employed at the Produce State Bank of Hollandale for many years. Jennie had suffered from multiple sclerosis. She enjoyed bowling, swimming and playing cards.

Survivors include sisters: Bertha Stewart, of Norwalk, Calif., Mrs. Harold (Lena) DeBoer of Hollandale, and Nellie Terpstra of Hollandale. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents: husband, Lloyd; five brothers: Joseph, Elze, two twin boys and John Jr.; sisters: Mrs. Harry (Ann) Rice and Catherine Terpstra; half brothers: Peter Zoeterman, Benjamin and Albert Terpstra; and half sisters: Mrs. Fred (Ada) Overlander and Mattie Terpstra.

Casket bearers include nephews: Dale Jensen, Gerald DeBoer, John Buley, Barry Hoffman, Donald Viktora, and Gary Degen.
