Memorial services for Lorraine D. Braff, of Hayward, will be held
4:30 p.m..
Tuesday, Jan. 4, at the Hayward Lutheran Church.
The Rev. John Malm will officiate.
Lorraine died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Center. She was 89.
She was born on Feb.13, 1915, in Rice Lake, Wis., the daughter of George and Anna (Hultin) Walin.
She graduated from high school and also attended business school.
She served as manager for Conrad Furs in Wisconsin for a few years.
In 1946, she married Leonard H. Braff. She and her husband co-owned Ironwood Glass Company in Ironwood, Mich., from 1950 +- 1982. In Ironwood she was a member of the Eagle Bluff Country Club in Ironwood and had been an avid golfer.
In 1991, she moved to Hayward to help take care of her brother Clifford Walin.
In 1997, daughter Sue moved from Florida to live and help Lorraine because of her failing health.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Braff of Hayward.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, in 1981; and her brother, Clifford Wallin.
