Terrence Terry Whalen

Terrence &uot;Terry&uot; Whalen, age 61, of Wells, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Funeral services will be at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells on Tuesday, Jan. 18, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Eugene Stenzel officiating. Visitation will be held at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells today, Jan. 17, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, and one hour prior to services at church on Tuesday. Interment will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells.

Terrence Michael Whalen was born Nov.15, 1943, the son of Francis J. and Clara &uot;Snooks&uot; (Madzo) Whalen in Wells. He attended Wells High School. On Aug. 24, 1963, he married Judith Johnson in Wells. He was a lifelong resident of the Wells and Easton area. He was employed by the City of Wells with the street department. He retired from the Wells Fire Department after 22 years of service.

He was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells.

Terry is survived by his wife, Judy of Wells; one son, Tim Whalen of Lemoore, Calif.; one daughter, Lisa and husband Matt Adams of Mankato; grandchildren: Ryan and Nicole Whalen, and Zachary, Stephanie and Gretchen Adams; his mother, Clara &uot;Snooks&uot; Whalen of Wells; one brother, Richard Whalen of Wells; two sisters: Jean and husband George Garvick of Elmore, Minn., and Pam and husband Donald Klocek of Wells; mother-in-law: Margaret Johnson of Wells; two brothers-in-law: Dennis and wife Linda Johnson of Minnetonka, and Loren and wife Patty Johnson of Mankato;

one sister-in-law, Brenda and husband Jim Kellogg of Taopi, Minn.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father; his father-in-law, Wilfred Johnson; and two brothers-in-law: Darrel Johnson and Bruce Johnson.
