Timothy Richard Schwab, 53, Owatonna

Timothy Richard Schwab, age 53, of Owatonna, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, at his home after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born Feb. 18, 1951, in Mankato, the son of Gloria Schwab and Roman Schwab. In his youth he attended Immaculate Conception in Faribault, and Waseca School of Agriculture in Waseca. Following school Tim worked for Wilson Foods in Albert Lea for ten years.

Tim married Deborah Dahl on Dec. 22, 1977, at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. They recently celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary together.

In 1979 they moved to Las Vegas, Nev., where he worked for Nevada Ready Mix for 18 years in

the concrete business. Tim was a union steward for Teamsters 631. In 1997 he and his family moved to Milford, Utah, where he worked for Rollins Trucking for three years. In 2000 the family moved to Spearfish, S.D., where he was employed by Alan Richie Inc. as a postal semi-driver.

Tim and Deb shared many things together but most of all they enjoyed shopping, preparing homemade sauces, and making Tim’s infamous salads. Tim found pleasure hiking in the mountains with his daughters, fishing with his wife, taking long motorcycle rides, and spending time with family and friends. Tim holds a special place in many hearts as he has touched so many lives with his love and soft spoken words of kindness.

Tim is survived by his wife Deborah Schwab of Owatonna; his daughters: Hillary Schwab and Grace Schwab of Owatonna; his son, Cameron and Dayna Schember of Geneva; parents: Gloria Schwab of Faribault, and Roman Schwab and Vivian Anderson of Faribault; one sister, Barbara Schwab of Winnipeg, Canada; seven brothers:Thomas and Carolyn (Jason, Becky, Eric) Schwab of Princeton, Minn., Daniel and Lisa (Adam , Andy, Tyler) Schwab of Mantorville, Minn., David and Candace (Ryan, Ashley, Savannah, Michelle) Schwab of Sioux Falls, S.D., Jeffrey and Sarah (Ryan , Briana, Spencer) Schwab of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Jack and Barbara (Derek, Michael, Kalley) Schwab of Owatonna, Michael and Linda (Jacob & Noah) Schwab of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Matthew and Vicky (Taylor and Zachary) Schwab of Medford; godmother, Theresa Schwab of Janesville; blessed niece, Angie Dorman Ruggles, and great-nieces: Haley, Skyler, and Madisen, of Albert Lea: sister-in-law, Gloria Dahl and niece Brazil, of Milford, Utah; and special friends: Danny and Rita Chavez and family of Las Vegas, Nev., Dick and Marsha Hansen of Albert Lea, abd Peter and Cleo Rowe and family of Spearfish, S.D.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two brother-in-laws: Bruce “Hoss” Dahl and Danny H. Dahl; and his special friend, Michael Nelson.

Visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home,

Owatonna, today, Jan. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Monday at The Associated Church from 1 to 2 p.m.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, . at The Associated Church in Owatonna. Dr. Ronald D. Wilson of the Associated church and Chaplain Phillis Bennett of Rochester will be officiating.
