Judith Schubbe, 64, Kasota

Judith &uot;Judy&uot; Ann Schubbe, age 64, of Kasota, Minn., died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at Immanuel-St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, Mankato, with Rev. Joel Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary, and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Judy was born Jan. 8, 1941, near Wells to Clarence and Thora (Christensen) Garver. She grew up in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa and was a 1959 graduate of Thompson High School in Thompson, Iowa. On Feb. 20, 1960, she married Ronald Baumann. They later divorced. On March 11, 1989, she married Richard Schubbe at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato.

Judy had worked for St. John’s Lutheran Home in Albert Lea and Cedar Haven Assisted Living in Mankato, prior to her employment with Hewitt Lift and Roll-a-Dock in Nicollet. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato, where she was an usher and served on church circle and altar guild. She enjoyed flower gardening, crafts, painting, stock car races, country music, trips to Branson, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her husband, Richard &uot;Dick&uot; Schubbe of rural Kasota; son,

Jeff Baumann and his wife Dyann of Emmons; daughter, Lori Baumann and her fianc, Bill Harang of Lake Mills, Iowa; stepson, Perry (Ronda) Mortensen of Pemberton; two stepdaughters: Pam (Keith) Deike of Waseca, and Deb (Andy) Stenzel of Alden; 11 grandchildren: MacKenzie, Mallory, Dana, Kayla, Codi, Jason, Justin, Dylan, Jake, Max and Emma; three brothers: Glenn (Dorothy) Garver of Wells, Eugene (Sharon) Garver of Winnebago, and Gary Garver of Mankato; two sisters: Dixie (Merlin) Deets of Portland, Iowa, and Karen (Harold) Schnoor of Wells; mother-in-law, Grace Schubbe of Mankato; sister-in-law, Sally Fjelstad of Mankato; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and her loving pet, Misty Lynn.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; a stillborn granddaughter, Kacy Jo Thompson; father-in-law, Wes Schubbe; and brother-in-law, David Fjelstad.
