The funeral service for Shawn J. Williams, of Albert Lea, will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at St. John’s Lutheran Home Chapel, Albert Lea.The Rev. Jeff Laeger-Hagemeister will officiate. Interment will be in the Hollandale Cemetery, Hollandale. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour before service at the church. Military Honors accorded by Albert Lea Veteran’s Organizations.

Shawn died on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at the St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

He was 56 years old.

Shawn was born in Owatonna on Feb. 10, 1949, the son of Zenobia (Thostenson) Williams. He graduated from New Richland High School. Shawn has lived around the Albert Lea area most of his life. He worked as a clerk at the Farmland Co. Shawn was married to Lois Walton on April 20, 2004 at St. John’s Chapel.

Shawn enjoyed working on cars, skeet shooting, spending time outdoors and taking walks.

Shawn is survived by his wife, Lois of Albert Lea; son, Jason Williams of Cohasset, Minn.; sisters: Meridee Dunkirk and husband Dennis of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Wanda Wood of Tampa, Fla, and Maxine Wacek and husband Kenneth of Laingsburg, Mich.; three grandchildren: Tanya, Taylor and Haven; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and -nephews.

Shawn was preceded in death by his mother;

daughter, Dawn Tuttle; and brother, Lee Williams.
