Harlan Heideman, 71, Glenville

Funeral services for Harlan D. Heideman, age 71, of rural Glenville, will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Rev. Jeff Wallager will officiate. Interment will be in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Harlan died Monday, April 4, 2005, at his home.

Harlan Dale Heideman was born Feb. 24, 1934, to Herman and Grace (Schoenrock) Heideman in Albert Lea. He attended School Districts #69 and #100 and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1952. Harlan served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1955. After his discharge, he attended college in Mankato and Brookings, S.D. On April 4, 1959, Harlan was married to Anna Marie Pischner at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. The couple farmed near Glenville until his retirement. Harlan was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and had been a member of the Glenville School Board for 15 years.

Survivors include his wife, Annie; son, Steve and his wife Sue Heideman and their children, Aaron, Lindy, and Blake, of rural Glenville; daughter, Patty and her husband Charlie Todd and their children, Andy and Keeley, of Harmony; son, Mike Heideman and his daughter, Erika, of Glenville; great-granddaughter, Jadelyn; sister, Eunice Anderson; brother-in-law, Elry Wolff; uncle, Edgar Schoenrock; and nieces and nephews.

Harlan was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Susan Marie Heideman; nephew, Stuart Wolff; sisters: Helen Amundson and Lois Wolff; brothers-in-law: Robert Amundson and Clair Anderson; and his mother-in-law, Alta Pischner.
