June M. Balfe, age 74, of 813 N. Teal Place, Sioux Falls, S.D., died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at her residence after a long illness.

A memorial service was held 7 p.m. Monday, May 9, at George Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls. Visitation began at 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, with family present starting at 6 p.m.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Balfe of Sioux Falls, S.D.; children:

Patricia (Fred) Thompson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Michael (Angela) Balfe of Sioux Falls, and Amy (Charles) Deserly of Sioux Falls; six grandchildren; special granddaughter, Katie Day of Sioux Falls; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amy Kathleen, and her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association and Avera McKennan Hospice.
