Loren Goette, 69, Zumbro Falls

Graveside services for Loren “Bud” L. Goette, 69, of Zumbro Falls will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, at Grandview Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Scott Jorgenson will officiate. Visitation will be from 1-2:15 p.m. Tuesday at Macken Funeral Home.

He died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at his home after a short illness.

He was born March 9, 1936, in Albert Lea.

He was married and later divorced. Loren married Laurie Anderson on March 7, 1969, in Albert Lea.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter,

Jean Reed

of Rochester and a son, Michael Holton of Rochester; three brothers, Donald Goette of Albert

Lea,

Marvin (Marcella) Goette of New Richland and Vernon (Alice) Goette of Hartland; one sister, Darlene Underland of Ellendale and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law and two nephews.

Loren and Laurie briefly lived in rural Stewartville and Grand Meadow, before moving to Zumbro Falls in 1977. He was a sheetmetal worker for Etelan Frans, retiring at the age of 56. Loren’s lifetime hobby was woodworking. He hand-finished many pieces of furniture. He also enjoyed fishing, antelope hunting in Wyoming and deer hunting in Northern Minnesota.
