U-14 boys win at Winona

WINONA &045; The Elks’ U-14 boys’ soccer team travelled to Winona and brought home a 6-1 win.

The win brings their overall record to 4-2-1 and their league record to 2-0-0.

This was a total tem effort, allowing winona only six quality shots. Winona plays a very phsical game and ran into goalie Jordan Devries on three occasions,but no cards were issued for the infractions. The Winona scored on a penalty kick,

Again, the midfielders controlled the center of the pitch while the defense shut down Winona’s attacks. The team is improving with each game, but this game was somewhat difficult due to the high temperature and humidity.

Adam Kermes, Tyler Prihoda, Jairo Campos, and Andy Harte each tallied one goal each while Levi Herrera scored two. Assists were awarded to Prihoda, Campos, Marco Rodriquez, Adam Clark, and Felipe Ambriz with two.
