Elvera Schow, 88, Albert Lea

The funeral service of Elvera Schow will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 11, at United Methodist Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. John Bromeland will officiate.

Visitation will be one hour before service at the church.

Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

Elvera died Friday, July 8, 2005, at Good Samaritan Center.

She was 88 years old.

Elvera was born Dec. 8, 1916, at St. Croix Falls, Wis., the daughter of John and Elizabeth

Schreiber.

She was in the middle of 12 children. She had been a member of the United Methodist Church since she was 9 years old. Elvera was active in church circle and many other church activities.

She graduated in 1935 from Albert Lea High School.

Elvera had been a resident of Albert Lea all her life. She had worked as a waitress in Albert Lea for many years in different restaurants.

Elvera was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. She was a volunteer for Senior Resources.

Elvera enjoyed her life at Good Samaritan Center and the special care she received from all the employees.

She praised her Lord for her life.

Elvera is survived by her sisters, Helen (Emil) Lykken of Albert Lea and Betty (Leonard) Johnson of Albert Lea; many nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Schreiber and Joyce Schreiber, both of Albert Lea.

Elvera was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
