Carolyn Gallentine, 50, Geneva

The funeral service for Carolyn Christine Gallentine will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Community Lutheran Church in Geneva. The Rev. Bob Iverson and The Rev. Joel Xavier will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Chapel at 525 W. Clark Street, Albert Lea.

Carolyn died on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital, Shakopee, following an automobile accident. She was 50 years old.

Carolyn was born in Albert Lea on Aug. 10, 1954, the daughter of Harold and Lucille (Folie) Halvorson. She was a graduate of Albert Lea High School and attended the Rochester School of Nursing.

On May 10, 1975, Carolyn was united in marriage with Steven Gallentine at Community Lutheran Church in Geneva. They have made their home in Jordan, Minn., since 1980, where they are members of Hope Lutheran Church in Jordan. She had worked for CareGivers

Network for 15 years.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Steven of Jordan; two children:

Matthew (Stacie) Gallentine of Robbinsdale, Minn., and

Siri Gallentine of Jordan; one sister, Susan Halvorson of St. Paul; two brothers: Gary (Fran) Halvorson of Pecatonica, Ill., and Steve (Sandy) Halvorson of St. James, Minn.;and nieces and nephews.

Carolyn enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She was an avid knitter and motorcyclist and enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
