It’s officially begun &045; what many call &uot;The Six Best Days of Summer.&uot;

The Freeborn County Fair &045; an event which organizers began working on as soon as last year’s fair was finished &045; is under way. We urge everyone to take in this annual event.

There truly is something for everyone at the county fair.

For ride enthusiasts, there’s a carnival. There’s practically anything anyone could want in the way of food. There are animals of all shapes and sizes. There are commercial exhibits. There are outlets for people to exhibit their many creative talents and green thumbs. There is a showcase for 4-H work. There is top-notch entertainment.

The list goes on and on.

It’s easy to see why it’s been dubbed &uot;The Six Best Days of Summer.&uot;

But it didn’t just happen. The fair is a long time in the works, and many people have given countless hours to see that it does happen.

So if you see a fair board member or a building superintendent or one of the many others who help organize any part of it, be sure to thank them.

And enjoy the fair.
