Nadeane Caldwell, 80, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Nadeane F. Caldwell, 80, of Albert Lea will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. John Bromeland will officiate. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m., Monday, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Nadeane died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.

Nadeane F. Caldwell was born Nov. 7, 1924, to Leslie G. and Hazel V. (Gilbertson) Cleveland in Mankato. She attended schools in Albert Lea, graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1942 and then attended Mankato Commercial College. Nadeane was employed at Wilson & Co. before moving to California after WWII.

On June 18, 1949, she was united in marriage to Ted E. Caldwell in San Diego, Calif. She and the girls returned to Waterville in 1961 and moved to Albert Lea in 1968, where Nadeane was employed as a shipping clerk at Streater’s until her retirement.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and had enjoyed bowling until 2002 and the senior citizens until the fall of 2004. Nadeane loved reading mysteries, crossword puzzles and watching the Twins.

Survivors include her daughters, Sherry, and her husband, Kenneth Wandrie of Janesville and Kathleen &uot;Kitty&uot; Wangen and her fianc, Larry Cleveland of Albert Lea; grandchildren, Jeff Wangen and his wife, Nicole of Albert Lea, Christopher Wandrie of Janesville, Angela Parker and her husband, Seth of Minnetonka, Victoria Brooks and fianc, Brady Murry of Winnebago and Shawn Wandrie of Janesville; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Aryliss Cleveland of Yarnell, Ariz. and a nephew, David Cleveland of Onalaska, Wis.

Nadeane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ted, and an infant sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Fund.
