ROCHESTER &045; The NRHEG cross country teams concluded their season at the Section 1A Meet at Northern Hills Golf Course in Rochester, Thursday.

Karla Lewer led the Panther girls with a 31st place finish in a time of 17:01.5.

The junior had a strong season for the NRHEG turing in consistent top 10 finishes and leading a young group of runners for head coach Art Barnett.

Heather Schmit finished 95th overall as the freshman completed the course in 19:43.6.

Megan Borchert and Kelly Byron rounded out the Panther runners with finishes of 116th and 120th, respectively.

On the boys’ side, the Panthers finished 17th in the team race paced by senior Ben Waldhauser who came across the line in 37th place with a time of 18:29.9.

Nick Beatty finished in 87th place with a time of 20:12.4, Josh Beatty was 93rd in 20:35.1 and Nic Barnett was 110th finishing in 21:36.1

Derek Bartness and Matt Bartsch rounded out the boys’ results with finishes of 114th and 119th.
