Ruth E. Parry, 82, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Ruth E. Parry, of Albert Lea, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Theodore Cemetery.

Mrs. Parry died Wednesday morning at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. She was 82 years of age.

Ruth was born July 31, 1923, in Freeborn County, the daughter of Bernard and Mary (Dulas) Siglowski. She attended country school.

On July 20, 1942, she was united in marriage to Thomas E. Parry in Wells. She was a member of St Theodore Catholic Church.

Ruth enjoyed sewing and was a seamstress for many including her nine children. She loved to play bingo and other card games. Ruth especially enjoyed her time with her nine children, 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her children: Kathy Mielke of Eagle Lake, Minn., Jeanette (Ron) Parker of Champlain, Minn., Marge Doyle of Albert Lea, Connie Ricke of Albert Lea, Thomas Jr. (Rose) of Albert Lea, James (Faye) of Tucson, Ariz., Terrance of Owatonna, and Bob (Brenda) of Albert Lea. There are 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers: John (Lisele) Siglowski of Ft. Collins, Colo., Robert (Trudy) Siglowski of Albuquerque, N.M., and Lawrence Siglowski of California; and

sisters: Irene Rochman of Beloit, Wis., Louise Wick of Waseca, Marie Charlson of Albert Lea,

Evelyn Schultz of Albert Lea, and Edie Siglowski of Albert Lea.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas, in 1984; daughter, Patricia O’Hara in 1996; brothers: Bernard Jr., Alfred and Richard Siglowski; and sisters: Lucille Severson, Eleanor Brandsoy and Judith Heinze.
