Mary Nowak, 91, Wells

Mary R. Nowak, age 91, of Wells, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at Parkview Care Center in Wells.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells with Father Eugene Stenzel officiating. Burial will be in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery. There will be visitation on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday with a Rosary at 9:15 a.m.
Mary was born on Aug. 14, 1914, in rural Wells, the daughter of Stanley and Agnes (Yokiel) Bushlack. She attended rural schools. She was a lifetime resident of the Wells area.
She married Andrew A. Nowak on Oct. 15, 1935, in Wells. They enjoyed 62 years of married life and enjoyed farming and gardening together.
She was a life member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, a member of the Rosary Society, CCW and the Birthday Club.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching the Minnesota Twins, the Vikings and the Gophers. A special joy in her life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She moved in 2001 to The Shepherd’s Inn and has lived at Parkview Care Center since August
2005.
She is survived by five children: two daughters: Jane, (husband Jim) Ritter of Owatonna; Rose (husband Bob) Doyle of Easton; three sons:
Don (wife Nancy) Nowak of Wells; Mark (wife Lea) Nowak of Wells; and Tony (wife Barb) Nowak of Owatonna. She has 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister: Margaret (husband Woody) Hoechst of Minnesota Lake and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1997,
sisters Magdalen Nowak, Amelia Stenzel, Dorothy Stenzel and Theresa in infancy, brothers Joseph, Ira, and Philip, Norbert and Leo Bushlack.
