Charles Gray, 88, Waseca

Charles L. Gray, age 88 of Waseca died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at the Waseca Medical Center.

Born in Woodville Township, Waseca County, Minnesota on March 21, 1917, he was the son of Fred and Margaret (Spillane) Gray. He attended grade school at the Oak Grove School and graduated from Waseca Central High School in 1935. In 1938, he received a degree in Diesel Engineering from Greer College in Chicago, Ill. Charles married Pauline Yerhot on Jan. 29, 1951, at the Sacred Heart Rectory in Waseca. Together they lived and farmed in Waseca County. He enjoyed reading, wood crafting, and sports. Charles was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca, Odd Fellows Comee Lodge No. 25, and the Mayflower Society. He also held various offices on the Waseca Co-Op Creamery Board, was vice president of the Waseca County Horsethief Detective Agency and served on the AFC Board and Woodville Town Board for many years.

He is survived by one son, John &8220;Jack&8221; Gray of Waseca; one daughter, Laurie and Steve Behn of North Richland Hills, Texas; one granddaughter, Christina Winter of Buffalo, N.Y. He is also survived by two nieces, Barbara and Kal Kiesler of Waseca, and Mary and Dick Byron of Belgrade, Mont.; one nephew, Michael and Rosemary Gray of Luck, Wis.; one brother-in-law, Donald and Darlene Yerhart of Lansing; and four sisters-in-law, Mona Yerhot of Minneapolis, Barbara Yerhot of Austin, Violet Yerhot of New Richland, and Margie Yerhot of New Prague. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife-Pauline, two brothers-Robert and Warren &8220;Chic&8221;, and one grandson-Michael.

Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Friday, Dec. 2, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca with the Rev. Neil Westby officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
