Cynthia Larsen, 54, of Albert Lea

Funeral services for Cynthia K. Larsen, age 54, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Curtis Zieske will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, at Bayview/ Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Cynthia died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at her home, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Cynthia Kaye Larsen was born Aug. 12, 1951, in Sioux Falls, S.D., to Arnold and Ellen (Anderson) Helgerson. She spent her childhood in Sioux Falls before moving with her family to Albert Lea. Cynthia graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1969. She was employed at Wal-Mart. Cynthia enjoyed knitting, cooking, reading, and watching game shows and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Jennifer and husband, Greg Oachs of Eagle Lake, Dawn Thompson, also of Eagle Lake, Tucker Larsen and wife, Roseann, and Tyler Larsen and Tiffany Register, all of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Jazmine, Jacob, and Jett Oachs, Jewell and Bailey Thompson, Kameron and Kollin Larsen, and Taylor Larsen; her father, Arnold and wife, Darlene Helgerson of Albert Lea; brothers and sisters: Ron and wife, Barb Anderson of California, Joan and husband, Dennis Anderson of Albert Lea, Wayne and wife, Carol Helgerson of Texas, JoAnn Goskeson of Albert Lea, and Arnold, Jr. and wife, Robin Helgerson, also of Albert Lea; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Angie Wrolson.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen Helgerson and brother-in-law, Jon Goskeson.
