ALDEN &045;&160;Alden-Conger rebounded from a Thursday night loss with a Friday night win over LeRoy-Ostrander, 54-39.
The Knights were able to ride a stingy defense to victory, unlike Thursday night where their defense struggled.
&8220;We bounced back on defense, we really stressed defense,&8221; said A-C head coach Charlie Freitag.
A-C started the second half of the game with a six point advantage over the visitors.
The A-C defense only allowed 18 points in the closing half of the game.
&8220;We played zone and always had a hand in the face and hit the boards hard,&8221; said Freitag.
Junior Matt Bremseth had 14 points and six rebounds for the Knights. He got a chance to play a lot of minutes for A-C and proved up to the task.
&8220;Bremseth had his first start all year, he played really well defensively.&8221;
Sam Hallman also continues to play well for the Knights. He also scored 14 in the win.
A-C is back in action Monday when it plays Martin County West in the first round of the Valley Conference Tournament.
