James Weller, 64, of Clarks Grove

The funeral service for James &8220;Jim&8221; R. Weller of Clarks Grove will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at First Baptist Church, Clarks Grove. The Rev. Jamie Cameron will officiate. Interment will be in the Clarks Grove Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by Albert Lea veterans organizations. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.

Jim died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 64.

He was born on Sept. 25, 1941, in Owatonna, the son of Roy E. and Helen B. (Burshem) Weller.

He graduated from Ellendale High School in 1959. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Scrabeck on June 24, 1961, in Ellendale. Jim began working at Owatonna Canning Co., Owatonna, and Enderes Tool in Albert Lea.

Jim served our country in the U.S. Army in 1966 and 1967. When he returned from the service he again worked at Enderes Tool, then for the City of Albert Lea, Wilson’s and most recently at Mrs. Gerry’s.

Jim was an avid sportsman, loving to fish, hunt, golf, and bowl. He was also a fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the Twins.

He loved all the years of spending time with family at the cabin &8220;up north&8221;, playing cards, and enjoying good food.

He is survived by wife Carolyn, two children: Jamie Hernandez and her husband Sergio of Albert Lea and Jeffery J. Weller and his fiancee Mandy DeVries of Sioux Falls, S.D.; grandchildren: Adam, Zechariah James, Lydia Grace, Esther Elizabeth all of Albert Lea; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Helen Weller, his brother Eugene and his father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Esther Scrabeck.

Jim will be remembered for his &8220;heart of gold&8221; and his ever- prevailing sense of humor.
