Catherine Lies Campion, age 98, of Winsted, formerly of Waverly died on Monday, April 24, 2006, at the St. Mary’s Senior Living Center in Winsted. She was born Jan. 2, 1908, to Peter and Mary (Theis) Lies in Eden Valley, Minn.

Catherine is survived by her daughter Mary E. of Plymouth, nieces, nephews and special friends the Campbell, Ogle and Woitalla families. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Leo, two infant daughters, two sisters Susan Lindell and Anna Lies, four brothers Matt, Pete, Al, and Nick Lies.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 28, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Waverly, Minn. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano. Visitation will continue from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to Mass. A prayer service will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. Interment will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Waverly, Minn.
