NRHEG blanks L/P 5-0

AUSTIN &045;&160;The NRHEG softball team picked up another impressive win downing Lyle/Pacelli 5-0, Monday.
Molly Hacker pitched seven strong innings giving up five hits, struck out five and walked two.
The Panther defense played well behind its pitcher holding the L/P offense scoreless.
&8220;This was the best defensive game that we have played all year,&8221; said NRHEG Grant Berg.
&8220;We made the routine plays by doing that we stayed away from the big inning.&8221;
NRHEG held a slim 1-0 lead heading into the fourth inning, but the Panthers were able to tack on three runs.
Gina Quiram drove in two of the runs with a double.
Quiram finished the game with a hit, two stolen bases and two runs scored.
Brittany Hansen and Jasmine Brouwers also drove in runs for the team.
The Panthers improved to 4-1 on the season with the win as they prepare to host JWP Thursday.
