SHERBURN &045;&160;Sometimes things don’t go your way and Alden-Conger had one of those nights Thursday against Martin County West.

MCW used four consecutive seeing-eye hits to put five runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning and went on to win 7-2.

Three of those four hits were short bloopers into right field and the other went just over the shortstop’s head.

Bobby Geesman drove in A-C’s first run in the second inning and and Anthony Wittmer plated Greg Upseth in the fourth. A-C (5-7) continued its recent struggles at the plate getting just four hits in the game.
